For all those led by God’s Spirit are God’s [children]. Romans 8:14
As we continue exploring our new life in the Holy Spirit, we begin to see how the promised Spirit of God interacts with our lives. When we are led by God’s Spirit, we are forsaking a way of life that appeals to our flesh and natural appetites. We read that if we proceed in these same old ways, we will, in fact, die. Instead, the follower of Jesus is led by the Spirit, to experience the life of God’s child being adopted by our Father. This is the life and peace we experience in the Holy Spirit.
