There is joy in the presence of God’s angels over one sinner who repents. Luke 15:10

This week, we explored the parable of the Lost Coin. This story is an extension of the parable of the Lost Sheep that was told to complaining religious people about the way that Jesus was giving attention and care to the tax collectors and sinners who were coming to listen to Jesus. In using this story about a lost coin, Jesus is communicating something about the value of the lost - that the lost have a particular value in the eyes of God so that he is motivated to seek and find them.
From this, we are invited into the joy of Jesus when the valuable lost becomes found..
