As Jesus is shown to be greater than any spiritual influence and greater than any authority, we have also seen how he enters into our experience as a merciful and faithful high priest. Our passage this week continues this theme of being drawn into relationship with Christ. We are told to exercise care so that we will not have evil or unbelieving hearts that turn away from God. Instead, we are to continue to encourage each other to respond to the voice of Jesus as he redeems us and does his work as our faithful high priest.
