What time does the camp run from? How early can I drop off my child?

Camp hours are 9:00am - 4:30pm. We offer Extended Care from 8:00am - 5:00pm (additional $40 for the week).

Where do I go for Extended Care Drop-Off?

Extended Care drop-off takes place at the South-East corner of the building (Tuesday - Friday). Pick-up is at the main doors.

When will I receive an information packet for my child's week of camp?

We usually send out all information ONE week before the camp starts. Look for it sometime on the Monday before your week. General information can also be found in the Parent Info section on the website.

Why can't I register for more than one week of camp?

Because our camps usually reach full capacity during the summer, we limit attendance to only one week so that lots of kids have the opportunity to attend.

The camp is full... what does that mean?

ADC is limited to how many children we can fit on the bus for field trips. Out of safety for the campers, once we have reached our cap we cannot take any more children.

I want to send my child to a week that is full. What can I do?

Often there end up being a few cancellations so we take wait lists for each week! You can call the church office (204) 253-8464 to be placed on the list.

What is your staff-camper ratio?

We have one staff for every 3 to 4 children!

My child is entering Kindergarten in the fall... can they come to ADC?

They can come to our new week of camp called ADC Leap! It will be a 4 day camp from August 4-7. This week of camp is open to kids entering Kindergaten - Grade 2!

My child is in Gr. 6... what does that mean?

They get to choose which camp to attend! They are welcome to come to a regular ADC week OR Cranked Jr. High camp.

My child wants to be in a group with their friend? Is that possible?

We typically can ensure that your child is able to be with their friend. We do our best to guarantee *ONE* friend but cannot promise more than that.

Can I send nuts to camp with my child?

Adventurers Day Camp is a nut-free program. Please avoid sending your child with any products containing nuts.

What does my child need everyday?

We ask that campers come everyday with a hat, running shoes, packed lunch, a swimsuit & towel. Remember to bring your completed Medical Form on Monday morning.

What do you do if it rains?

We have lots of rain day plans in our back pocket! Please send your child with a swimsuit and towel everyday incase the weather suddenly changes and our field trip needs to be altered.

Do we need to sign up for the sleepover?

Nope! Just let one of the directors know the day of if your child is planning on going home.

What if we don't want to stay for the sleepover?

No worries. Campers are welcome to get picked up at 8:30pm after all the activities finish and then rejoin us in the morning.

Do I need to pack food for my child for Thursday after the sleepover?

We will provide all meals on Thursday (breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner). Don't worry about sending any extra food.

Who can come to the family BBQ on Thursday night?

Your entire family is welcome! Just indicate how many are attending at drop off on Tuesday or Wednesday morning.

I want my child to wear a lifejacket while swimming.

Absolutely! You are welcome to send your child with a lifejacket OR we have some available to borrow! We will ensure that they are wearing it whenever they are in the water.

I'm worried about my child going to the beach. How do you supervise them?

Campers are not allowed to swim deeper than an adults waist. The staff form a boundary around the swim zone to contain the fun. We also swim with the buddy system, do regular head counts and Beach Safety Officers are present.

My child has special dietary needs. Are there options for them?

Yes! We have snacks available for gluten/dairy free children. Please indicate the need on the registration form and we will work with you to determine what they can/cannot eat at the sleepover.

Can I come on the field trip?

Adventurers Day Camp's policy is that parents are not allowed on the field trips. All of our staff have been screened to ensure that ADC has a safe community, and we have an excellent staff:camper ratio.  If you have more concerns about your child or your child's safety on field trips, feel free to contact us.

Can I get a copy of the photos/video/songs from my child's week at ADC?

For sure! Within a couple days of the camp's end we will send out an email with all of the media.

Do you offer funding for kids to go to camp?

Funding is assessed in a case-by-case manner. Please contact the church office for more information.
