What is our response to COVID-19 to keep your children safe this summer?

In response to COVID-19, we have created a new position at Adventurer's Day Camp, a Health Coordinator who will oversee all of the cleaning, screening and health protocols.  This person will have a medical background and their number one priority will be to ensure the health and safety of all campers and staff this summer.

Each staff member and camper will have their temperature taken twice throughout the day.  If at any point someone develops a fever or any other COVID-19 symptoms, they will be isolated from the rest of the campers and sent home.  Additionally, we will place an extra emphasis on hand washing and sanitizing throughout our day.

In contrast to our normal camp size of 60-70 campers, campers will be broken down into groups of no more than 24 campers.  All campers and staff will socially distance themselves from one another, maintaining 6 feet distance whenever possible.  In addition to this, our outings will be to outdoor places where campers can maintain physical distance from one another.

We are in the process of updating our Health and Safety Policies, which will outline more specifically what we are doing to ensure the safety of all campers and staff this summer.  If you have any questions please reach out to our Directors, Josh Kiewitt and Jenna Allison, at adc@wefc.net
