Bible Reading in 2021
We discovered in this past Sunday’s message (Jan 3/21) that Jesus wants us to become Houses of Prayer; both as individuals as we have the Holy Spirit in us (1 Corinthians 3:16; 6:19), and as a Church. He declared quite strongly as He cleared the Temple that His House, the Temple, and by extension His Church, is to be a House of Prayer (Isaiah 56:7; Matthew 21:13;Mark 11:17; Luke 19:46).
This is exciting as Jesus Christ, our Saviour and Lord invites us to prayer. We are wired to pray. But I also stated that Prayer must be coupled with the reading of the Written Word of God. As I understand, Bible Reading without prayer is dry, and Prayer without Bible Reading is dangerous.
I invite you to enter into this new year, 2021, and determine to read your Bible intentionally and if it helps, systematically. Here are a few Bible reading plans to help you. I have also included some of the accompanying articles with the reading plans. Enjoy!
