The Lord Jesus is very interested in how we treat each other as His followers and He said our love for each other would be a strong indicator to a watching world that we are His disciples. The Lord knows that even those who are His are still part of a fallen creation and that we would need more than just the command to “love one another” to properly understand what loving means in our life situations so He inspired the “one another’s” recorded in the New Testament. They become a kind of relationship guide to instruct us regarding the things we need to practice and also some we need to avoid if we would keep our relationships with Christian brothers and sisters strong and being the symbol to the world He wants us to be. This morning after introducing the “one another’s” of Scripture we will drill a little deeper on just two of them: being patient with one another and forgiving one another.
