Hi WEFC Family,

Hymn Night: This coming Saturday evening, we hope you will join us in the Chapel for an evening of singing the great and wonderful hymns of old and some new ones too - March 19 at 7pm.

Kids Club: You know its spring when the boys are drawing, cutting, sanding, painting their pine cars for the great Pine Car Derby. So great to walk through the church Wednesday evening to see them working so hard on their masterpieces. Let Children’s Ministry Director, Nathaniel Friesen know if you can help out. They are always looking for more volunteers to help with this important ministry.

Lead Pastor Search: This past weekend our prospective candidate and his wife were in Winnipeg for an informal visit with the Search Team, elders and pastors. They toured WEFC, surrounding neighbourhoods and Winnipeg to get to know us better. Continue to pray that God’s will would be done and that our hearts would be soft to His leading.

Sunday School: 9:00am each Sunday we are meeting in person to grow in our knowledge of Jesus and His Word.

  • Elementary, grades 1-5, - “Picture This!”
  • Junior High, grades 6-8 – Worship and The Ballad of Beau Woodrow.
  • Senior High, grades 9-12 – Your Questions, The Bible’s Answers.
  • Adults - Sermon on the Mount. This class continues to be available online via the link on our webpage.

Sunday Morning Gathering: It was so, so, so really good to see some of our family that have not been in church for a long time. Welcome back! We hope that you were encouraged and blessed to worship God together in person.

While masks will no longer be required inside; kindness, respect and humility should always be worn as we gather to worship the greatest King of all, who is King over all, our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

The nursery will be open all morning, during Sunday School as well as the Worship Gathering.

This week, Pastor Len Harms, will preach from Ephesians 6:18-24.

Men’s Bible Study: Saturday, April 2 at 9am, continues our time together studying Proverbs 2 with Seraph pastor, Nathan Chan.

Ladies Bible Study: Spring study of Revelation by Margaret Feinberg will begin Tuesday, April 5 at 7pm and Wednesday, April 6 at 9am. Make some time to connect with other women, study Scripture and be encouraged.

Encouragement:  Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth and the life.” (John 14:6) continued…

In France, after enjoying a wonderful meal, the server asked me if I was hungry for anything more. Trying to make a good impression and flex my linguistic skills, I replied, “Je suis plein.” What I thought I was saying, was “I am full.” Yes, directly translated that is what I said, but what she understood me saying was, “I am pregnant.”  After having a good laugh, she kindly told me that other options to relay my “full” state would be, “Je suis satisfait”, meaning “I am satisfied”; or j’en ai eu assez” which means, “I have had enough.”

Jesus is life. To the one who believes, He gives eternal life. (John 3:16 – “For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”) It is complete, whole, not lacking in anyway. It is a full life. (John 10:10 - “I have come that they may have life and have it to the full.”) Those who hunger and long for it, will be satisfied. Completely satisfied. (Luke 6:21 - “Blessed are you who hunger now, for you will be satisfied.”) They don’t need or want more. He is enough. Their hearts will be glad. Their joy will break loose in song. All their days they will live this way. (Psalm 90:14 - “Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.”)

When we are reminded today of life, and it’s mysterious, marvelous, fragile and grand nature; it’s meticulous, detailed design, by a Creator so wise, powerful and purposeful; may our stride quicken, our resolve deepen, our smile widen, our fear weaken, and our sadness dissolve.

Praised are You LORD our God, King of the Universe, who gives breath to our lungs and life to our bones!

Grace to all who love our Lord Jesus Christ with an undying love.
