Hey Parents!

While we can't meet all together as a church right now with our regular children's programming, obviously we want to continue teaching our kids from the Bible. As I have been looking at different ways that I can partner with you and support you as parents during this time, I want to be able to put out resources for you to aid you in continuing to teach your kids about our Saviour!

This is where the idea of "Drive-Thru Sunday School" came from. I will prepare a 'Sunday School' lesson that you can work through together as a family. I'll be at the church on Sunday morning from 9:30-11:00, and you can pack up the family and go for a little drive over here and I will give you a Sunday School kit. Once you get home, you can sit down as a family and work through it together! The lessons will be focused on Jesus' life and ministry as a lead up to Easter!

This will be a week-to-week plan, but each week there will be various activities and crafts that you can do together as family, followed by a Bible story that you can read together! I'm going to do my best to gear these activities, crafts, and lessons to kids from Preschool-Grade 5, but they should also work with younger kids as well with some help from you or older siblings! This week we are going to be talking about Jesus healing the paralyzed man in Mark 2:1-12.

My goal in this is to continue to equip you as parents to teach your kids from God's Word, as well as to provide a different sort of family-activity that you can do together! This, of course, is not ideal. I long for the time when we can meet again as a church, and hopefully these lessons can give your kids a sense of that as well!

If you are at all interested in this or if you have any questions, please give me a shout back (nathaniel.friesen@wefc.net) so that I have a bit of an idea of how many kits to make!  I look forward to hearing from you! In Christ,
