We believe church is for everyone; it should be meaningful, powerful and relevant. You do not need to be a member of WEFC to be welcomed here or attend here. We invite you join us as together we learn more about what it means to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
What should I expect on a Sunday Morning?
When you enter the doors of WEFC you will be welcomed by one of our greeters who will be happy to answer any questions you may have and point you in the direction of our Welcome Centre if needed.
We have two services on Sunday morning, both at 10:30 am (Generations and Threshold). Each service has its own style of music and format so check out both to see which one is comfortable for you. We have a welcome from one of our Pastors where they will share and pray about what God is doing in our church body. Later in the service we will have a thought provoking talk on issues that can be applied directly to your personal life in a relevant way. Services typically last about one hour and fifteen minutes.
There are also Sunday School classes available for adults, college, youth and kids at 9 called 180@wefc and Kidz Church is held during our 10:30 service.
There are also opportunities to interact with our Pastors and Church Leaders if you’d like someone to talk to or just need someone to pray with. WEFC is made up of people from different walks of life, backgrounds and communities. We invite you to come and check us out as you go through your faith journey.
What should I wear?
There is no dress code to come to WEFC. We’re more concerned about having a meaningful relationship with you than what you wear. We would like you to wear what’s comfortable for you!
Do I have to give money?

No, no one is ever going to directly ask you for money or require that you must give money to come here. We believe this is a matter of the heart and is strictly between you and God.
Giving is an opportunity for those who are a part of the WEFC community. That is why there is a time to give money (offering) during the service. This money is used for the operation and the on going work of the church. A tax receipt is issued every year in compliance with the CRA
What’s available for my Kids Sunday Morning?

Nursery:
The Nursery is available during both hours and is intended to be a clean, safe environment while parents are taking part in different activities on Sunday morning. Our volunteers have a heart to serve in this area. Our Nursery is full of toys, change tables, nursing areas, bathroom facilities and a TV monitor to watch the service as it happens.
Children’s Sunday School and Kidz Church:
We want our children to learn about God: that He is exciting, imaginative, and loves them. Much of our children’s value system is determined during their younger years. That is why we treat them as a group of young people, not a babysitting service. We teach the Bible in a fun and exciting way through different activities and stories that encourages our children to live life to the full for God.
Children’s Sunday School (180kids@wefc) is at 9 AM for Toddlers to Grade 6.
Kidz Church is at 10:30 AM and they are dismissed from the main auditorium halfway through the service for Age 3 to Grade 3.
Toddler Room (15 months up to Age 3)
Care is provided for toddlers during the Kidz Church portion of the 10:30 AM service. The Toddler Room is a clean, safe and fun place for the children to be cared for while the parents enjoy the latter half of the service. It is staffed by adult volunteers, made up mainly of the parents of the toddlers, as well as teen volunteers who enjoy getting down on the floor and entertaining the little ones. The Toddler Room runs on a pager system, enabling the volunteer staff to be able to contact the parents if necessary no matter where they are in the building. The room has direct access to bathroom facilities and has a TV monitor to watch the service as it happens.
What time do you meet on Sunday?
Our services (Generations and Threshold) start at 10:30 AM. If you like, come at 9:00 AM to attend any of our Adult Sunday School classes held at 9 AM.
What do you do during the week at WEFC?
WEFC is more than just Sunday morning services and sitting in church pews. There is something for everybody and every age group during the week.

What does ‘Evangelical Free’ Mean?
WEFC is a member of the Evangelical Free Church of Canada Conference. The Evangelical Free Church of Canada is an association of some 140 churches joined together by common purposes, principles and practices. It is a partner with more than 2000 other Free Churches in 14 countries. In addition, it is one of 18 national fellowships belonging to the International Federation of Free Evangelical Churches.
"Evangelical" refers to our commitment to the authority of Scripture as being inerrant in the original autographs and the only safe and sufficient guide to faith and practice.
"Free" refers to our form of church government as being congregational. Free Churches depend upon the active participation of lay people in the decisions, directions and actual ministry in the local church.
Winnipeg Evangelical Free Church was formally called Windsor Park Evangelical Free Church. We opened our doors on November 17, 1957 and just celebrated our 50th anniversary on the weekend of November 16-18th 2007.
