Ron Koleba - Senior Pastor
It was at the end of the summer of 1996 that the Koleba’s moved to Winnipeg to begin work at Winnipeg Free. Ron, Eva and their three children settled back to Canadian soil after a 17 month mission’s stint in Ukraine with the Evangelical Free Church Mission.

The Local Church has been part of Ron’s life from birth as he followed in his father’s footsteps. The grassroots is where the Church is and needs to do its work as effectively as possible for Christ’s sake.

As life affords, Ron enjoys attempting to move his body in a semi-athletic manner and is adjusting with Eva to the new and wonderful role of grandparenting.

 Pastor Dwight Martens
Dwight Martens - Worship Arts
For most of his life, Dwight was involved in various aspects of music ministry at his home church in Morden, Manitoba. In 1998 he sensed God’s call to step out of his comfort zone and prepare for involvement in full time music ministry. As a result he decided to go back to school and received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Providence College in 2001. A short time later, God’s plan for his life continued to unfold as he was offered an associate pastor position at WEFC.

Dwight and his wife Tracey have been a part of the ministry at WEFC since January 2002. He oversees all aspects of the music and drama ministries as well as looks after some of the administrative duties.

Lorne Everett - Congregational Care & Administration

Lorne Everett graduated from Briercrest Bible Institute in 1963 and was married to Arla in July 1964.

Lorne was involved in the farm equipment and automotive industry for approximately ten years, Manitoba director for CSSM Ministries (Christian camping, church planting and VBS) for five years, Campus Administrator at Providence College and Seminary for 19 years, and has been part time Associate Pastor here at WEFC since 2001.

Lorne and Arla have two married sons, one in Calgary and one in North Dakota and five delightful grandkids!

Both Lorne and Arla have been involved in various ministries over the 40 years that they have been part of WEFC.

Pastor Mike Kiewitt Mike Kiewitt - Adult Ministries

Pastor Michael Kiewitt grew up on the West Coast enjoying the warmer yet wetter life. In April 1993 he married Laurena and had two children.  He volunteered in the Abbotsford Evangelical Free Church for over ten years where he taught Sunday School, led Bible studies, mentored youth, wrote curriculum and sat on the elder’s board.

In 2004 Mike felt the call to become a Pastor and entered into seminary at ACTS. While going to school and working full-time he also interned at AEFC where he practiced preaching, led a marriage enrichment course and established a men’s fellowship group that centered on accountability and sexual purity.

In 2007 God’s call for Mike reached its fruition when he joined the ministry at WEFC as pastor of Adult Ministries. Here his work centers on Adult Ministry and the occasional Pulpit supply.
Trevor Berg - Youth & College

Pastor Trevor Berg (His non-holiness)
A while ago I was asked to be a Pastor at WEFC, it has been a number of years already, but I am still not used to being called Pastor Trevor. My Father was a Pastor when I grew up, so I guess it runs in the family. I went to Winkler Bible Institute and Providence College and got a degree so I guess I have the education. I have always been involved in ministry my whole life so I guess I am qualified. But, I guess what makes me a Pastor is more than that. I have a passion to inspire people to live their faith. I want to see people who are passionate about loving Jesus…not just in the things that they say, but in the way they prove it by how they love the people around them.

Curtis Anderson - Children

I arrived in the fall of 2010.  My wife Carlanna, and I responded to God's call to bring us here from Alberta.  Though we were only married in August of the same year, it was clear to us that God had this ministry in mind for us.  I grew up in Alberta all my life and spent several years in Camping ministry after high school as well as a few years in Christian Schools.  I gained much experience through these ministries and am excited to add "church" to my experience.  I have a deep love for kids and have always been a part of ministering to "church kids."  I am not sure how I got the title "pastor" but I know that it is a high calling and I desire to fulfill its definition while here at WEFC.  Already I have a deep love for the people here and I am excited to see what God will do in the coming years.
