Ron Koleba - Senior Pastor
It was at the end of the summer of 1996 that the Koleba’s moved to Winnipeg to begin work at Winnipeg Free. Ron, Eva and their three children settled back to Canadian soil after a 17 month mission’s stint in Ukraine with the Evangelical Free Church Mission.

The Local Church has been part of Ron’s life from birth as he followed in his father’s footsteps. The grassroots is where the Church is and needs to do its work as effectively as possible for Christ’s sake.

As life affords, Ron enjoys attempting to move his body in a semi-athletic manner and is adjusting with Eva to the new and wonderful role of grandparenting.

Pastor Dwight Martens
Dwight Martens - Worship Arts
For most of his life, Dwight was involved in various aspects of music ministry at his home church in Morden, Manitoba. In 1998 he sensed God’s call to step out of his comfort zone and prepare for involvement in full time music ministry. As a result he decided to go back to school and received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Providence College in 2001. A short time later, God’s plan for his life continued to unfold as he was offered an associate pastor position at WEFC.

Dwight and his wife Tracey have been a part of the ministry at WEFC since January 2002. He oversees all aspects of the music and drama ministries as well as looks after some of the administrative duties.

Lorne Everett - Congregational Care & Administration

Lorne and Arla have two married sons, one in Calgary and one in North Dakota and five delightful grandkids!

Trevor
Berg - Grace Point Church Planter

In January of 2011 WEFC was given a building in Point Douglas, a neighbourhood in the Inner-City of Winnipeg. The building came with a vision to create a church community in that neighbourhood and a team of people were asked to take on that challenge.  I have been honored to be part of the team that has taken on the challenge of meeting the people in this community, build relationships with them and through that a church that is truly a "community" church.  I am excited to see God at work in the lives of people, and to walk alongside them as they discover what Jesus means for their life.

After 7 years as the Youth Pastor at WEFC it is a great opportunity for me to use the gifts that I have been given to serve a community that has great need.  However it may be me who has the opportunity to learn the most, and for that I am very grateful.

Curtis Anderson - Children
Information on Children's Ministry

I arrived in the fall of 2010.  My wife Carlanna, and I responded to God's call to bring us here from Alberta.  Though we were only married in August of the same year, it was clear to us that God had this ministry in mind for us.  I grew up in Alberta all my life and spent several years in Camping ministry after high school as well as a few years in Christian Schools.  I gained much experience through these ministries and am excited to add "church" to my experience.  I have a deep love for kids and have always been a part of ministering to "church kids."  I am not sure how I got the title "pastor" but I know that it is a high calling and I desire to fulfill its definition while here at WEFC.  Already I have a deep love for the people here and I am excited to see what God will do in the coming years.
