We know meeting someone for the first time can be intimidating, and going to a new church for the first time can be nerve-racking. We want to help make your first experience at W.E.F.C a great one! When you come to WEFC for the first time, drop by the welcome centre in the middle of the atrium. Volunteers would love to meet you and help you find your way around.
Winnipeg Evangelical Free meets every weekend on Sundays at 500 Lagimodiere Blvd
What takes place in a church service?
In total, a service is about 75 minutes in length. Services begin with the WEFC Band leading the church in music - song lyrics are projected onto the screens so you can sing along and/or engage with worship however you feel most comfortable. After the music portion of service is complete, one of our pastors will come out to share an encouraging and hope-filled message about Jesus. If you would like to get a feel for what is it is like - you can watch our the sermons here
What about my kids?
We believe that kids should have a blast at church every single week - and at WEFC, we make this a priority. Kids are welcome to stay with their parents or take part in our kids programs.
The other thing we make a priority is your children’s safety. Because of that, we have a detailed check-in process for our the first time that you visit. You’ll want to leave yourself an extra ten minutes to get signed in for the children's programs.
What do I wear?
We're not concerned with what you wear. WEFC is made of up people from different backgrounds, life stages, and personalities - just dress as you feel comfortable.
If you have any questions you can write them here, and we will try out best to answer
